Jazz is a genre of technique-focused movement that is lots of fun and very high-energy. Jazz dance includes the basic technical skills acquired in ballet dance classes with a combination of unique rhythms and various stylistic gestures. Jazz is a dance style that includes isolation and dynamic changes in the movements. In Jazz class, students learn how to build muscle strength, increase their body flexibility, develop their own movement style, and familiarize themselves with the concept of ‘body awareness’. It also focuses on clean lines, extensions, turns, jumps, and tricks.
